Whether it’s sawn timber, pallet blocks, pallet components or other wood industry products, we offer customized transport solutions using open and covered trucks, as well as intermodal transport concepts throughout Europe. We draw on a high-performance European network and, when necessary, combine road transport with the advantages of rail. Our Equipment

Our fleet includes a wide selection of railcars, including approximately 500 timber railcars, of which nearly 70 are modular and multifunctional m2 railcars.
Our m2 railcars can be used in both block trains and as individual railcars and are suitable for all types of freight.

CLT: Solutions for Cross-Laminated Timber

Demand for cross-laminated timber (CLT) has risen sharply in recent years due to the growing trend toward sustainable construction. It’s no wonder: CLT is highly versatile, can replace steel and concrete in modern structures, and is not only sustainable** but also extremely strong.

However, these wood construction elements also require a logistics strategy—developers typically demand low-CO₂e transportation solutions. Our customers also confirm the importance of a rail-based logistics solution for such construction elements.

Our approach

Sustainable products require sustainable* approaches that function efficiently over the long term while being as environmentally friendly as possible. Our team brings decades of experience in the wood industry, whether via rail, road, or intermodal transport—whether standard or special shipments. 
For example, the lumber is transported ex-factory on container carriers to the Railport and, upon arrival at the destination, delivered to the construction site by electric truck. In addition to suitable equipment, we offer loading consultation as needed and, upon request, issue a sustainability certificate upon project completion.

We are also expanding our low-emission fleet on the road, for example, with electric trucks.

**Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a renewable resource. In addition, trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow, which means that wood, as a building material, has a lower carbon footprint than traditional, CO₂-intensive building materials such as concrete or steel.
