RailRo Cargo is an innovative service offered by DB Cargo Full Load Solutions, which is characterized by maximum flexibility, efficiency, and reliability in international freight transport. The concept combines the advantages of rail, road, and ferry into a seamless logistics service—with a strong focus on linking the ports of Cuxhaven (Germany) and Immingham (United Kingdom). The target markets include not only Germany and the United Kingdom, but also other European countries such as Denmark, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
What is RailRo Cargo?
With RailRo Cargo, we organize entire multimodal transport chains for you - even if you don’t have your own rail siding. The key to everything is a robust network of single railcars, flexible car groups, and seamless integration of weekly ferry crossings in both directions. You’ll benefit from extensive storage and transshipment facilities at the ports, door-to-door transportation from a single source, and specialized equipment and expertise for a wide variety of cargo types.

MAFI roll trailers with a payload of up to 90 metric tons or 90 cubic meters allow for three truckloads to fit on a single roll trailer.
Equipment, surface Area and infrastructure
We employ a wide range of equipment for road and rail transport, including standard and special wagons, tarpaulin semi-trailers, mega-trailers, jumbo trains, open semi-trailers, telescopic semi-trailers, semi-low-bed trailers, low-bed trailers and in-loaders.
The integration of three modes of transport (rail, road and sea) ensures flexibility and reliability. Cuxhaven offers approximately 397,000 m² of space, as well as five berths and state-of-the-art warehouses. Immingham, with 750,000 m² and specialized terminals for the steel and automotive industries, serves as a strong transshipment hub.
