DB Cargo's single wagonload network (SWL) connects production sites, warehouses, ports, and economic hubs in Germany and Europe, making it a key component of many industrial supply chains. Our non-stop FLS shuttle trains supplement the existing SWL with attractive, customer-oriented direct connections. We transport your single wagonload or car-group shipments on FLS shuttle routes as carload freight, enabling us to ensure faster car rotations and fewer transport disruptions within the new “FLS Net4Europe” (FLS N4E).

Our shuttle routes connect Germany, Italy, Sweden, Southeast Europe, France, and Switzerland with a high degree of flexibility, including pre- and post-carriage via SWL and by truck. To consolidate transport volumes, we also offer connection points to the SWL at 5 locations in Germany. In doing so, we consolidate volumes into separate shuttle trains, ensuring fewer transshipments and more direct transport routes.

The FLS Hub - the main hub of our network - is located in Mainz-Bischofsheim, far from major classification yards in the SWL system.
